JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: VIDEOS

William Rast Fall/Winter 2009, Part 2 VIdeo

To create the Fall/Winter 2009 collection, business partners Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala enlisted the help of designers Johan and Marcella Linderberg. The two deconstructed and distressed American classics like denim, leather and plaid to bring their vision of "New America" to life. Citing Biker Culture and the Ratpack as their influences, Johan and Marcella Linderberg used a muted color scheme balanced with heavy detailing like riveting and studding. Mixing different materials like silk and leather brought a customized feel to their pieces. The entire collection has a devil-may-care attitude, much like the character of William Rast. Justin said that putting their Fashion Week debut together was time-consuming but totally worth it. “Showing in the tents was almost indescribable in a way, nerve-racking and fulfilling at the same time." he admitted.

Never Again

“There is a lot of racial tension in a good way in this song. You are part Indian, so some of the diss that you feel as a person might be because of your race. I understand you, as I go through the same things day to day and I feel like "my heart may never mend" as well.”

Never Again

“I really like you doing pure pop music like this song, but the problem with it is that it encourages the white culture and wants it to be exclusive to you and Britney, etc. etc. You stayed away from that sin in your second solo album and it is easier for someone like me to look at you as an artist and a friend now. I am just saying that I want pop culture to be inclusive and you have done a lot towards that end.”
