Coolio Has A Cookbook. Can You Dig It?

Best news we've heard all day: Just when you were done asking "Whatever happened to Coolio," Coolio reappears with a humor-filled book with "5 star meals at a 1 star price." That's right; it's even recession friendly.

5 Top quotes from his book:

1. "I'm the ghetto Martha Stewart, the black Rachel Ray."

2. "This dish ain't just called Karate Meat because it's got an Asian kick to it. It's called Karate Meat because it will beat you up like a pigeon in prison."

3. "Hell, when I was growing up, I could make a meal out of a package of Top Ramen and a bottle of Windex."

4. "[My mom's] fried chicken would literally put on tennis shoes and run the fuck into your mouth."

5. "Everything I cook tastes better than yo' momma's nipples."

Why a cookbook? Hadn't you heard? He's got an online cooking channel, Cooking With Coolio on My Damn Channel, where he teaches peeps how to make Caprese Salad or something called a Cool-A-Cado.

Video of Day: Beck And Charlotte Gainsbourg - Heaven Can Wait

We heart Beck for his sickly talented musicianship, predilection for experimenting with quirky instruments, and a kooky personality.

That said, we really didn't see him going all sappy on us....or pulling a Serge Gainsbourg.

More over, we didn't think we'd like it if he tried!

And yet, here he is - teamed up with the equally quirky French chanteuse/actress, Charlotte Gainsbourg (daughter of 60s singer Serge and Jane Birkin (yup, who inspired the Birkin bag,) - in the sweet, swayable ditty called "Heaven Can Wait."

For romantics, this is pretty much a match made in indie music heaven, a modern Serge Gainsbourg song for love bugs.

"Heaven Can Wait" is part of Gainsbourg's upcoming LP IRM, which is Beck-produced, out Jan 26th.
