What happens when you combine a high speed strobe light and a pellet rifle?

A Paintball
in a safe place....?

An Orange
You are able to stop time and create a visual poetry.

A Christmas Bulb (filled with white jello)
Such is the photography of Alan Sailer, whose bright, vibrant shots are stupefying and cataclysmic.
(He's a Flickr icon at this point.)

A Radish

A Christmas bulb and Candy

A Super Symmetric Squash
He uses a high velocity air rifle (about 800 fps measured) and hollow ammo.

Orange jello
He uses a flash of light around a microsecond (a millionth of a second) which allows him to freeze things in motion.
.....and just sees where things go.....

A Fruit And A Flower
What a way to get out one's frustrations......
