Some people just can't get enough of traveling: they're constantly up for bigger thrills, more exotic destinations. For the global cause of water, as well as to fulfill the boyish and extravagant dream of becoming the 'first clown in space', Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté has gone off on a rocket last Thursday, on a poetic social mission...

... wearing a clown nose!

Why you would want to go to space may be debatable, but one thing's for sure, it takes a lot of gutts and dedication to undertake a space journey, especially a first ever 'touristic visit'. Also, a lot of $$$: Laliberté paid close to $35 million to spend nine days on the International Space Station.

Watch the kickoff on Russia Today from REALLY close (how cool is that!).

As poetic as the mission is, Laliberté is dedicated to raise awareness on the global water crisis and the whole stunt is orchestrated along with ONE DROP Foundation.

In order to create a massive media impact, the space trip is scheduled to climax in a two-hour worldwide artistic program called Moving Stars and Earth for Water, a Poetic Social Mission. At the core of the show, a poetic tale will be performed through 14 cities from Montreal to Moscow by united artists and personalities such as environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki, Al Gore, Rio's own Gilberto Gil, Salma Hayek, Bono and Shakira, to only name a few.

You can live stream it this coming Friday starting at 8pm ET on ONE DROP's website (hope they have one hell of a server!) or hit up Times Square to catch a surprise performance! ;-)

And here's a cool app that allows you to add ONE DROP to your Twitter Avatar should you wanna be part of it!
