Danny Rose's 'Memorable Strike'

It's a shot that is making its rounds, even here in the US. It was ESPN's Top Play Wednesday night, and soccer doesn't often crack the list in our little corner of the globe. But more so than that, what the shot meant to Danny Rose of Tottenham... He's 19 years young, and was making his Premier League debut against arch rival Arsenal, who they had not beaten in 11 years.

What are we talking about? Nine minutes into the match, Rose fired an absolute laser of a volley, a one-timer off the goalie's deflection - nothing but net. It's one of the nicest goals you'll ever see. Tottenham would go on to win the match by a goal: 2 - 1. As a result, the youngster has, literally overnight, achieved hero status.
