Sneak Peek at Mirimichi’s Launch!
This weekend, July 24th and 25th, Justin and his family hosted the grand opening of their golf course, Mirimichi, alongside the convivial Mirimichi staff, representatives from Talent Golf and Audubon Environmental as well as friends, family and media.
Some highlights?
-Paul Harless, Justin's dad, was honored by the Mayor's office - that proclaimed July 24th Paul Harless day in Memphis!
-All attendees during Media Kick-Off day got a surprise from Justin: he played one hole of golf with each group.
-An old-school bad-ass cadillac was given away as a prize for whoever sunk the first hole-in-one on the course. Better yet? The winner coincidentally turned out to be an old childhood friend of Justin! A good karma folks!
Below is a slideshow of the festivities. As you can see, Mirimichi is indeed true to its namesake, a "place of happy retreat," boasting wild flowers, ponds with turtles, solar-powered golf carts, idllyic creeks, and a complex draining system that recirculates all the water used on the course. Remember Mirimichi is the first golf course to be designated a Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary as well as a Platinum LEED certified green course.
